970's having performance issues using 4GB Vram - Nvidia investigating

What kinda temp you getting on that soc at max clocks Neil? Just got mine and even at stock mine is hitting 81 degrees load 0_0
 
I see there is a new game ready driver out. Never seen performance improvements listed per screen resolution like they are in the release notes

While I am only on 1080, i will still be giving them a punt as they are talking about figures like 13% at 1080 in BioShock etc

Would be good to hear feedback from other users

Stuttering due to SLI yes. Stuttering due to reaching the limit of VRAM no.

I made the same move as Neil and am over the moon with my SOC 980. No stuttering, pretty much the same temps, solid card and currently the third quickest single card in the Firestrike and Firestrike Extreme benchmarks with my 4690k.

Am I happy to give Nvidia more money? No of course not but this was my only option really and I'm more than happy with the results/performance.

Asus were fobbing me off trying to return my strix's, had to mention trading standards and false advertising and they instantly gave me a return number to take to my localr etailer for full refund, \o/
