980 GTX SLI

Hello!

My CPU is I7 4770k at 4.5ghz and I have 16 gb RAM drr3 at 1866.

My question is:
Is it worthy spend the money in a motherboard able to do SLI at x16?;Or SLI at x8 is fine?

X8 pcie 3.0 is fine tbh, the dual x16 PLX boards are mighty expensive for very little gains.

OP you are fine with PCI-E 3.0 x8/x8

As said, x8 at pci 3.0 has more then enough bandwidth to cope. It'll be a nice setup

So so so fine with 8x 3.0 , hell I'm running 8x 2.0 and I wouldn't see any difference between 3.0/2.0 16x or 8x (Tested with old cpu 3570k, single and multi card)
