its a tough one
the 980 overclocked is a very capable card, also it depends on the games
Titan X is about 30-35% faster which sounds a lot but in games relates to about 10-25fps more
price is a big thing to consider as the titan is twice the price of the 980

+What games now or in the next 3 years needs that vram?
