Hello folks

Well my new PC is up and running and all seems ok so far!
Time to start installing all my bits and pieces.

But one thing seems weird, and I'm worried! ... According to Samsung Magician there is 796GB of data written on my single brand new 2TB 980 Pro that was only installed a day or two ago! (incidentally, when I first checked it, about 4 hours earlier, there was 512GB written)
Surely this can't be right?
All I've done is install Windows, a few basic drivers, and a few benchmarking programs. I have used 105GB on the drive. I understand that SSD benchmarking will involve the writing of data, but I really can't think of anything that would cause such a high amount of data written!

This can't be normal for this timeframe and usage?

Help!

Thanks

Do you have anything like ShadowPlay in use which is constantly writing a looped screen capture to disc either while in-game or configured for desktop capture?

No.
All I've installed is Windows, a few drivers, and a few benchmarking apps.
No games or shadowplay.

And Task manager / Resource monitor don't shed much light on the situation.
