Hi all. Hoping someone can tell me if this is normal or fixable.
I've just rebuilt my system with a 6700K on a Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7 M/B. 16GB RAM. GFX is an Inno3D 980 Ti Airboss X3 Ultra with an EK Titan-X block installed. Monitors are 1xDP, 1xDVI and 1xDP to DVI single - link convertor.
Temps are good and no overclocking has been done. Games run fine unless there is something else using the graphics card and then they run horribly. A burst of a few frames and the stop, lag, burst, lag, burst. It's unplayable. I first noticed this with Aquasuite drawing graphs of temps on a different screen - monitoring the temp of the GPU. Minimise that and the game runs fine
I just tried Alien Isolation under Steam's Big Picture as I was trying to let a friend try out the Steam Controller. Monitor reported 3 fps. Closed Steam Big Picture mode (with its swirly blue background) and I'm getting 144 fps almost solidly. I know I didn't have this issue with the previous GTX580 and 2700K but I also had 2xDVI screens then. Any idea what may be causing this? It's surely not normal for a 980 Ti? Is it a bad side effect of G-sync on only one (of three) screen?

"980 Ti doesn't multitasking"?! Seems that after midnight Cenedd doesn't grammar!
