980 TI on x58 sabertooth question

Does anyone out there have a 980 TI going strong on an x58 sabertooth? If you do what BIOS are you on? I ask as the fans on my EVGA 980 TI SC+ ACX 2 (not purchased from here) don't work and not having the latest (from 2012 I think) BIOS has been suggested.

Cheers for any help.

Do they just not work at all or is it that you are not hitting the 60 degrees at which the fans start?
I'm amazed how little the fans on my 980Ti SC are used.

No sadly they don't seem to work at all. They spin up very sharply at about 65 degrees plus and then stop, attempting again every so often thereafter. I can't seem to force them to spin up in precision x/msi afterburner either. The card otherwise works as it should.

Are you trying to run MSI Afterburner and Evga PrecisionX together? That could be causing a conflict with the fans. Uninstall them both, reboot pc. Install one then try putting fans to 100%.

so if i am reading this right the fans on the gpu dont kick in till 60 - 65C? once they hit this temp do the fans stay on or do they go off?

my 390 fans dont spin up at all until the card hits a certain temp which is normally gaming as on desktop they stay off

They attempt to turn on very sharply then almost immediately stop during gaming/benchmark runs while the temperature goes up and up until I call a stop. So for instance 90 degrees and no fans turning.
