Hi all.

I'm going to fit an EK Thermosphere to my 980 Ti and I'm going to add heat sinks to the VRMs - just wanted to check they are what I think they are - i.e. the components circled in red:-

Anyhing else apart from the ram and VRMs worth adding a passive sink to?

The full-cover EK block install instructions say to put thermal pads on the chokes too.

Not sure if it's actually required or just a precaution.

OK - all heatsinked up and waterblock fitted - core cool at 45c peak but VRMs are hitting 100c :(

Guess a 980 Ti at 1540mhz running volt modded bios needs something beefier than just passive sinks.

It's not all bad news though - EK full cover block and backplate on it's way :D I'll stick the Thermospheres on the members market..

Cool everything you can, VRM also i think, if there is solution for that, go active VRM cooling. Full cover sounds promising.
