Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a single GTX 980 ti for gaming at 1440p as my GTX 680 is kind of struggling with the newest games. I was wondering if it's a good idea as I'm not sure if my current system will be holding back the GTX 980 ti. I've done SOME research on GTX 780/980 and I think my system was fine then.

Will my system be enough for now with this card or would it be better to wait a few months and do a big upgrade of cpu+mem+mobo+gfx card?

My Xeon X5670 is at 4Ghz btw :)

I can live with 1-2 frames. I just don't want big frame drops or 20 frames less than what I would have with saya 4970K.

That cup is more than powerful enough you must consider it's a hex and when DX12 hits it will be better multi core optimised and not all about mhz as shown with mantle

Okay that sounds good, getting some more confidence in my system :)

Thanks guys, I'll order one (YAAY) :D
