9800 GT Driver Issue

Morning all

My trusty ATI 1900 died on Sunday morning so yesterday I went out and picked up a 9800 GT to replace it. I used driver sweeper to get rid of all the drivers and the drivers that came with it are ok to a point, (gives nvcpl.dll error on boot but works ok). When I tried the latest drivers the screen goes blank during boot.

What are the latest stable drivers?

Has anyone had this issue and resolved it?

Tried searching but couldn't find a lot on this. Power supply is 550w so should be OK.

have you connected the extra power connector? or did you just plug it into the pci-e lane and not connect the (6 pin IIRC) power cable?

Yep the power connector is connected, as i say the standard drivers work ok, just cant use the latest ones
