9800 GTX+

I have the option to swap this with a mate for his 4870 Sapphire card with no money changing hands, he has an SLI board and wants 2xGTX's. He already has 1 GTX and I am thinking about the deal.

Is it worth swapping or not? Both cards are the 512 versions.

Absolutely, the 4870 is quite a bit faster than the 9800 GTX+.

I'd suggest that the 4850 and 9800 GTX+ are essentially the same speed, and that the only reason to think otherwise is either down to personal bias or because you haven't read enough reviews on the subject.
