512bit interface, so much for it being a 8800GTS ripoff, look forward to purchasing this card, its going to be a top performer IMO.

What makes you think that? Its not bigger than an 8800Ultra.

I'm sorry - what I meant to say is "Holy crap it's huge just like the 8800Ultra which is a massively oversized piece of hardware to start off with that costs far too much and is for people with too much money and not enough sense."

Sorry should've qualified my statement.

Whats the 8800Ultra overpriced got to do with anything? It was over priced, but it was the same size as a 9800GX2 which will also be overpriced and could run hotter and in some cases be slower than an 8800Ultra....

I just dont see why people think its huge, the 8800Ultra was not huge.

Nothing wrong with a big card, the more product for your money the better, its huge so what? do i give a ****.

Please fully star out any swearing.

Whats the card like? probably no different than my SLI'd cards i guess

actually my cards may be a little faster, they usually are over dual chip cards for some reason

what is that Bonjour???

The 9800 GX2 its bigger than the 8800 ultra but only marginly.

But if you want to get really picky you could say this:

The GX2 is actually 2 Cards surrounded by a heatsink there fore technically half the size. The 8800 Ultra is a single card with one huge heatsink stuck on top of it.

It's the fabled Voodoo 6 6000. I had a Voodoo 5 5500, which was pretty large and had 2 VSA-100 chips. That monster had 4 and there were rumours it was going to need an external power supply.

RIP 3dFX. R.I.P.

Thats massive! bet it weighs a ton, if cards keep getting bigger we're going to need support wires attached to the top of the case to hold them up :p

I remember looking at a (or at least i think it was) a 7950 GX2 that did needed external power, it was very similar to this one infact, but instead of the optical port it was a power connector!

Cant remember where I saw it now though. pretty sure it was THG but i cant find that article
