Hi all,
I've got a 9800 GX2 graphics card, had it a while but recently it has started appearing to be a lot louder than it used to! I have just moved house, it could be that the acoustics of my new office make it appear to be louder than it actually is, but either way I want to shut it up somewhat!
I'm actually going to run an entire overhaul of my PC's "loudness", but starting with the GFX card what would someone recommend as an aftermarket cooler to quieten it down a bit.
I don't overclock the card, but do game with it (L4D, Borderlands etc, so the card will run hot now and again) - One of the most annoying things the card is doing recently (or forever, but I've only noticed now!) is that after a gaming session the fans don't ever spin down, even if I leave the machine on for 24 hours the fans are still spinning as fast as they were when I was killing Zombies previously, and the only thing to make them spin back down is a re-boot - which is frustrating!
Would someone be able to recommend something for the 9800 GX2 that still does an average job at cooling but also doesn't sound like a hairdryer?
Thanks
