Regardless of the cost, which setup is likely to give best results in games, and give best ease of use? I have heard some games are not happy running with SLi setuyp on the PC...
 
I would go with a GX2 if only for the fact that i can have SLI performance on an Intel chipset, which is not the case if you go GT SLI. The GX2 will also give better peformance than a GT setup.
 
I have a GT SLI setup and whilst thats great and I am very happy with it if I were starting from scratch I would now buy an Intel motherboard with a GX2 as it uses just a single slot and has less compatibility issues than an SLI setup.
Just make sure you have good cooling as the card will get mighty hot.
