9800 PRO Driver Help Please

I've just bought a 2nd hand ATI Radeon 9800 PRO off the Members Market and need some advice.

I currently have a nVidia Geforce Ti4200 card. I assume I need to uninstall all the nVidia Drivers and seem to remember you have to use a driver remover in Safe Mode to get rid of them all.

Looking at the latest ATI Driver options I can download Catalyst Software Suite or just the Display Driver. Which is best to install? I don't think I need the WDM Drivers, the card has TV out but not in, but I would like some control over the card settings.

Do I uninstall the nvidia drivers then fit the card then download the ATI drivers?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Hey,

Use drivercleaner to get rid of all the nv drivers - can be found here: www.driverheaven.net

Download the CCC suite from www.ati.com

Then shut computer down, swap out cards and install CCC suite

Hmm do I have to buy a drive cleaner? No free ones about???

Its a free utility that removes all trace of the graphics driver to avoid conflicts with new ones...
