I'm just about to run the Dark Void benchmark, and noticed that when I click on "PhysX" in the Dark Void app, it tells me that I need to "Please enable GPU PhysX acceleration from the NVIDIA® Control Panel in order to enable higher PhysX options". I found this odd, as PhysX acceleration IS enabled in the Control Panel:
The Dark Void app also gives me a "Note: PhysX effects require a CUDA-enabled NVIDIA® Geforce® graphics processing unit (GPU) to ensure playable framerates"
This lead me to do a little digging, only to find a Wikipedia article listing CUDA-enabled GPU's (of which the 9800GT is included), and then to GPUz, which shows me that CUDA isn't available (yet PhysX is):
So, my questions are:
1) Should I be able to choose anything other than "Low" in the Dark Void Benchmark settings for PhysX?
2) Should my card be listing CUDA as an enabled option in GPUz? And if so, do I have to enable it in some way?
3) Am I missing something obvious?
Cheers.
