9800GT @ 68C idle,is it normal?

I dont have a digital cam,all my belongings are in storage and i cant get them out untill we get a permanent place to stay:( At least thats what the council told me:rolleyes:

Fixed it with MX4 thermal paste! Not even reaching 80c,sits at 77c maximum on furmark,result!

Do you not have any exhaust fans in your case? That would certainly help, if your gpu is just blowing hot air back into the case, which is never being extracted, all its doing is blowing its own hot air into itself again...

Well im gonna order some tomorrow i know other have said these cards can get hot so im gonna order up some IC dimiamond paste or that MX stuff,whichever seems best and 3 case fans and see how it goes from there,i've just never had a card this hot before,even my 480GTX didnt behave as bad as this lol. i still think its too hot cause i got the case fan blowing air out the front now and also have it on its side with the side panel off so the heat should just rise out the case?
