Hi all i just installed a new Graphics Card "Gainward GeForce 9800 GT "Golden Sample" 1024MB GDDR3" and all i seem to get is a blank screen , so i took it out and put one of my old 8600GTs back in and my computer comes on , but now windows wont load , it says Missing BOOTMGR or somthing when i turn it on , well anyway i guess i could reinstall windows again , but the problem still lies in the 9800GT not working , now i have a 1000Watt PSU so that should be plenty.. can anyone help?

When you boot does the post screen show your hard drives and check the BIOS, do you have more than one drive in your system, perhaps check the boot sequence.

The psu will be plenty for that card, have you installed the correct cables and amount, did it boot into windows or was the screen blank from startup.

Also list your full spec.

Actually...the problems mine, but i could not get to a computer as the one in question had died...

Anyway...got my 9800 (as above) today, un-installed the old nvidia drives, shut the machine down, un-plugged the 8600GT i had in there and plugged the new one in, all i got when i turned on the machine was a black screen, nothing else...

Any Ideas??

Can you test the GPU in another machine just in case you have a faulty one.
You have plugged all the power leads - thought I ask

don't have any other machines to try it in, was using the PCI-E1 power connector direct from the PSU, the fan was spinning, but thats about it!

RMA ya think?

I think that might be the case, as you have no way of confirming in another machine.
What board have you got out of curiosity.
