hi

am considering buying a 9800gtx to replace my 8800gt but am wondering if it will fit. I believe the 8800gtx could fit if the hdd tray was removed but have no idea on the size of the 9800gtx.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

The Sugo has great cooling even for the hottest graphics cards (like my 9800 GX2, 9800 GTX is the same length). However my harddrive cage is modded (pushed inwards and screwed to the bottom) for long graphics cards to fit. The rear top case fan is blowing the hot air coming from the gfx directly out of the case, a second top case fan (mid) is blowing cool air onto the gfx
With this modification it's simply perfect.

Many thanks for reply and advice. Was the hard drive holder easy to move/mod?

Fairly easy, about 1 hour to work. You have to cut off some material of the top of the cage and screw some new holes for repositioning of the hard drives. I put some sticky dampening stuff under the cage to reduce vibrations and noise.

you could buy some perspex and make a template from the hd cage then cut out
the parts in perspex. so you don't have to mod the cage to keep the value of the
case if you ever need to sell it on.

just an another idea.

there is around 35cm of space once the hd cage is out of the way.
