9800 GTX+

Above review didn't use the latest Nvida drivers, as the latest are not 180.47's, they are the Big Bangers, 180.48's.

Does not matter really 4850 still wins no matter what drivers you want to use. The drivers they use are still close to the latest nv drivers whatever way you want to look at it.

180.47 aren't valid for benchmarking, 180.48, 180.60 or 180.84 give significant performance gains over them.

180.4x are buggy (in a couple of applications on certain configs) tho I advise using the .60 or .84 betas.

Okey , I've ordered sapphire hd 4870 512, found one on internet that was on sale for 160 quid. I know that I asked about those 3 cards and didnt even mention 4870 but the sale started just last night. looked up on them comparison sites where they compare hd 4870 toxic 512 to normal 4870 512 and to 1gb version, to be honest i thought the one that i went for did quite well , in some games better than gtx 260. http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/sapphire_toxic_4870_review/page5.asp

Only reason 4850 wins so much in that review is because there using 8xAA in most of the tests, the most commonly used AA setting which people use is 4xAA and at 4xAA the results are not quite so clear cut.

Just another example of cherry picked results, but coming from TheRealDeal it's not that surprising, one of the biggest ATI fanboys on this forum.

Good choice, plenty faster than a 9800GTX+ from what I've seen.

Indeed, good choice.

Shocky stop talking a lot of rubbish. I read articles and reviews just because i tend to agree with the results does not make me a fanboy. The biggest fanboys tend to be the ones accussing other people of being fanboys. Just for the record are you trying to say that a 9800gtx+ is a better card than the 4850?

I'm not getting drawn into a discussion with you, suffice to say I see you pretty much every day in these threads defending/promoting ATI products and attacking users that disagree with you.

Until you stop doing this my opinion of you is not going to change.
