I remember reading about some magical new driver for the 9800gtx and 9800gtx+ which gave them a big performance boost, does any one know anything more about this?

Wasnt it a mix up on like fudzilla? We thought it improvement referd to the existing 9800GTX but infact it was a ''new'' card, the 9800GTX+. Nvidia and there naming schemes :\

I think GeneralD was right, the new 'miracle' driver from nVidia was the physx driver (well, if your favourite game is 3DMark Vantage that is), and Fudzilla got their wires crossed about it being called the '9800 GTX+' internally, which a lot of people mocked.

There supposedly is some performance boosting drivers coming, about a 30% boost is being said, but as far as im aware they are not out yet, if not, then my guess is they'll appear when the GTX+ is launched sometime this month.

EDIT: Just read the original thread, and it looks like Fud may have got confused, as he said the driver may be called 9800 GTX+, but thats actually what they are calling their overclocked 9800 GTX's, which are cards, not drivers. :p
