9800GX2 detail Specifications

as for costs i rekon its deffo gonna be over 300 quid. since i can;t see nvidia undercutting the 8800ultra with the gx2.

I think they will discontinue the Ultra as it is pretty much a dead dodo now that the 3870x2 is out there (faster and cheaper). Even for those that want to go with an NV card, the GTX costs like £100 less so is way better value.

Especially with the 8800GT now being back where it was supposed to be (<£150), so now you can get 8800GT-SLI for £290. The Ultra has no place in the market at it's current price.

question, how would this work then? can it be used on a P35 mobo? or does it require an SLI board? its always confused me this. same with the 3870x2.

sorry if its a noob question, as you can see im pretty new to posting and just read what i can.

A single 9800gx2 should work in any board.
Just like the 7950gx2.

Looking at the picture of the MSI card it looks to be about the same size as the GTX.
Need picks of it without the Heatsink cover.

Might be tempted to have some fun with them in SLI config.
Assuming NV allows Quad or Hex SLI with those cards.

Yep, would work on most non-SLI boards but some needed a BIOS update to work and others I think just never worked at all with the card as dual GPU.
