Does sound like the slot, happens occasionally. Hey at least you're learning about PC's, put it down to experience. Good luck getting it sorted.

Cheers man! Even if it started working I would never be happy that it would be consistent!

Ill be returning it and Ill wait for the new NEXT GEN card I guess! Ill probably go with the Q9450 aswell!

Well, Ive packed it all a way and Ill be ringing tomorrow! Back to the old Pentium 4


Ill always look at the forums as it seems you guys are all helpfull and friendly.


However, its a shame to end on a negative note but Ill never buy from OCUK again and I will find it impossible to reccomend them after the way they have treated me and the way in which they seem incapable of putting together a working system!

Im getting a refund on my system and Ive already spotted another one lol


It's on the PC Pro A List of over £1000 PC's.


It comes with monitor and speakers but can be modified so Ill not bother with that and instead spend the money on the system.



It has a

Q9450 @ 3.4GHz,
9800GX2,
Asus Rampage Formula Motherboard with Intel X48 chipset
Thermaltake Toughpower 750W Power Supply

and Ill add

X-FI Xtreme Gamer
2 TB Sata HDD
4GB PC2-8500 Memory



My question is, with a working 9800GX2, if I select Multi-Display mode would I be able to view my PC on my TV?

Basically the TV is next door to the PC and I have it connected, but I never need the display on the same screen at the same time as I have wireless Keyboard & Mouse.


Or is there an option to stay in SLi mode but get it to display on the second monitor?



Any help would be much appreciated, I really cant be bothered to wait for the next card and I will buy it when it comes out anyway.
