I'm after some advice on a completely new build to replace an old PC that's just died after many years of faithful service. I'm considering the 9800X3D & ASRock X870E Nova, will run off the integrated GFX unitl I can get a 9070XT.

Main uses will be gaming (once GPU purchased), Transcoding, some light virtualisation labs

I need some help with the additional components of the build & any recommendations that you may have.

Case
- Must be able to fit at a minimum 2x 3.5" drive into it, but more would be great.
- Will sit on the floor under desk
- Old case is an Antec P280

M.2. Boot
- Any real world difference to using a Gen 4 vs Gen 5?

CPU Cooler
- Prefer an AIO

RAM
- 64GB

PSU
Fans
Thermal Paste
Anything else.

Not against changing the motherboard to something else if it's considered a better option, but will need more than 2x SATA3.

Budget for the base unit excluding the GPU is in the £1500-2000 reigon. Don't need peak performance, but willing to pay for things that are in the sweet spot.

Thanks in advance.

Looks great, thank you.

My existing case has seen better days, so might as well replace at the same time.
