Hello all.

Does anyone know when the 9800X3D will go back up price? Because I don't know whether to buy it today or on the 24th. If any OCUK staff members read this it would be interesting to know. Cheers guys.

what gpu are you running? the 9700x set up right can be just as good given the right gpu

From what I'm aware, the X3D prices went up due to demand. AMD couldn't make enough of them on/near release and maybe the added demand due to the 13th-14th gen issues and 15th gen being underwhelming for gaming.

Now that the bigger X3D CPUs are out and many who intended to upgrade have done so, I'd expect price to be stable or more likely to fall.

I've got a ASUS ASTRAL 5080 OC. Look at my signature, I've already got a 9800X3D now. It took me 3 months to upgrade my PC which cost me £3000. It's my own fault it cost me a small fortune because I neglected to upgrade my PC over 6 years.

My assumption on the prices.

The prices may not drop until current stock has been sold. (which was bought at the higher prices)

Once this has all been sold and new processors bought at the better pound value the prices may not budge.

Saying that this may make no difference and the prices may never drop but its all down to the reseller if they decide to pass on the savings etc.
