I'm looking for a monitor to connect to my laptop while i'm based in Korea, and i'm having a bit of trouble finding a 1440p monitor to buy out here;

Bad 1080p generics no problem, low spec 4k monitors no problem, LG superwides no problem but gaming spec monitors not a chance in hell.

I have found a Asus PG278Q ROG Swift at a comparable price to the UK but I'm unsure if laptop GPUs actually work with Gsync or not.

£600 is a lot to pay for a monitor that isn't going to give me the results i want.

I've read articles about modified drivers allowing gsync to be enabled on my Asus G571 laptop but that's only for the built in screen.

The alternative is moving to either 4k or the superwide, im not sure that a 980m is going to have enough grunt to handle that many pixels.

Mainly playing BF4 and Elite Dangerous right now and I usually turn off AA as I've never been a fan of the effect.

980m beta drivers have some code for gsync even without a gsync module in the display.

But to be show go to nvidias gsync scheduler page it mentions about development mobile gsync

Worse case scenario use desktop unsigned drivers if possible , it's a a maxwell part so can't see why it wouldn't anyway
