I have replaced my R9 380 with a 980Ti and I will need to connect two monitors to the card as before I used DVI to HDMI on the R9 380 since it had two DVI ports but the 980Ti has 1x DVI, 1x HDMI and 3x DisplayPort connectors so what's the best way to connect both my monitors up so they look the same in terms of colours etc? 1x DVI and 1x HDMI or 2x DisplayPort to HDMI?

Many thanks!

My old MSI 980ti preferred to use as few DP ports as possible. I was using two DP ports but when I switched to one DP (has to use that for my higher Hz monitor) and one HDMI (all that my other monitor needs) it behaved better. But that was having to run a 3 metre DP cable.
If your monitors are close you can probably do what you like. If your connection can give you the full benefit of a monitor I wouldn't expect a difference in picture quality.

The 980Ti I have is MSI so I was thinking to reuse the DVI (graphics card) to HDMI (monitor) cable and purchase a HDMI to HDMI cable and go with this option if both monitors will have the same colours even though I'm using different display connectors.
