Hi
I have a zotac 980ti extreme. And triple dell u2412 monitors at 5760 x 1200.
All connected via DisplayPort cable. I would like to get some 27" monitors, but choices with DisplayPort are slim. Can I connect from DisplayPort to hdmi or Dvi with just a lead or do I need active adapters. I know I use to use them few years back when eyefinity just came about on my old Radeon. But unsure if things have moved on and nvidia requires adapters.

Thanks

I beleive you will need adapters from what i recall when i was going to buy a 295x2. There is also the issue of how many Hz, HDMI wont do more than 60, but DVI-D will do 144hz. I would build my choice around DP models.

Don't buy a new monitor unless it is freesync or GSync. I'm serious!

Also, don't buy a 27" 1080p monitor, they are horribly low pixel density, 27" is good for 1440p though.

With my two 580's I have two of my monitors plugged in via dvi and the third is hdmi, works just fine.

Although I'm running @ 5760x1080 rather than 5760x1200....

Edit only running @60 though.
