There seems to be quite a few folk on MM etc. Selling theirs, I was under the impression these are excellent cards and planned to upgrade from my 970 on a 1080p monitor to a 980Ti and a 1440 monitor.

Are they still good and if so why are there so many for sale?

Still very good cards and hit the spot nicely for 1440p, you will find that some users will have tried different models of ti, some have maybe changed to AMD cards. Such is the nature of some enthusiasts who like to chop and change. Id safely say though that any for sale on MM will be in good condition.

lol wth jedi

...the price of gfx cards in england seems pretty nuts tho
members market was a good idea :)

Good enough for 1080....1440 not so much in some games on air unless you have extreme air case cooling (several high CFM case fans). Or go onto water.

I would buy a new GTX 980 Ti for £499.99 this week special offer from OCUK you get a few free games you can sell.

Avoid the used models incase you need to RMA its a grey area with some if you can RMA if your the 2nd owner.

I got mine, realised I don't play games that much any more and it's a bit overkill for 1080p, whilst it is great for having like 144fps all the time :D :D Downgraded, now waiting for the pascal or whatever next year and going to build a new shiny system :D

Thanks guys I just saw so many 980 Ti and thought what's going :)

I'm waiting till after Christmas when I have more dosh and plan to buy a nice new 1440p Monitor and a 980 Ti unless something better comes along that I can afford!

My 970 doesn't really struggle with 1080p but I'll be looking to drop that in my HTPC which currently has a 280x inside when I get my new one.

I think it is because people have had their fun with the card and are being prudent as they know the card is going to depreciate by around 50% soon with 14/16nm coming.
