Hi my long standing 980ti seahawk is giving me issues(i presume).

When in iracing i get random black screens they last about 2-3 seconds and only seem to happen in an actual race. Obviously mid corner blackouts arent pleasant.
Anyway the gpu is only really hitting 65c all race so it isnt thermal throttling the cable is relatively new so pressume its not that but then again that could be it.

Going to run it below 65c and lower fps to 90 as its been running upto 130fps at 1440p. So would you presume i need a new gpu? ps i do want a new gpu when they come out

It's a good sign, means your card has 'bedded in' sort of.... Alternatively it may be on its way out but my cards do the same then stop doing it after a bit. When it stops working altogether rather than intermittently teases you then buy a new card.

Its quite a long bedding in phase, ill mitigate it happening by not pushing the fps the get a new card at some point. Then ill find out its something else completely.

The older cards take 3-5 years to bed in then they sustain being bedded in for 72 hrs and need replacing.

Ordering new cable as can return this one so why not, spending a bit more then before as im reading display port cables at 3m need to be decent ones.

I had problems when i got new gpu....black screens for 2 seconds...drove me nuts...didnt happen at 1080p but did at 1440p and worse at 4k...got a decent cable for £20 and problems went away :)

Thats was a 3m hdmi...got new monitor so needed a decent 3m dp cable.....one that could do 240Hz at 1440p so a good certified one was £37.....painful but cheap £8 cables just dont cut it at high res :(

The dp i got was from rain forest and was "delock" branded...rated for 60Hz at 8k
