980ti SLI on wildlands not scaling properly?

Got a Aorus HB sli bridge for cheap to replace the ribbon and tbh.. can’t see a massive difference.. maybe 5fps at most. Mins seem abit better but nothing you would applaud about.

If i had to pay full price for one i would be pretty unamused.

So today i finally got my second 980ti for SLI. First game and only game i’ve tried so far is Ghost Recon Wildlands.

On single gpu i get around 70-80fps on high settings at 1080p

With SLI enabled, i get around 40-60fps on high settings at 1080p!

Somethings not quite right, does this game even support SLI? SLI is enabled in Nvidia Control panel and in programs its set to Force alternate frame rendering 2.

I ran with MSI OSD and its weird:

CPU: 85% avg usage
GPU1 & GPU2: around 50-60% usage

I was expecting higher usage, could this be down to SLI profiles? Im running the latest GPU driver.

System specs:
3770k 4.4ghz
980ti poseidon @stock speeds
16gb 1600mhz

Anyone suggest any profiles i could try or workarounds to get it working correctly?

I used to have 2 x 980ti's, seriously not worth the hassle. The amount of games that performed poorly because a 2nd card existed is laughable, SLI is indeed dead and once I build my new rig I will never SLI again. Same story for 2 x 1080ti's really, not as bad as there are still games that just don't like SLI. Assassins Creed Odyssey for one, hates SLI and runs better with 1 card. Just try and avoid SLI in the future as I also will, lesson learned for me. I use a high bandwidth Aorus Bridge connecting my Aorus Xtremes myself, looks cool but like I said SLI and me are done lol.
