I was wondering if it's worth getting the "Super OC" or the normal one with it only being a £10 difference. Do OC cards last have a shorter life? Do OC cards get really hot? Thanks.

Makes little difference, both will boost beyond their stock clocks anyway. A card that is overclocked to the limit (increased volts/temperatures etc) would have a shorter life but factory overclocked cards have very little increase and still run cool enough.

what clocks they come with only make a difference if you dont intend to overclock yourself - the heatsink they come with makes the bigger difference

which models are you looking at exactly?
if its the OCUK with the reference cooler, I would go for the Gainward golden sample instead as it has both better out of the box clocks and a better heatsink/fan arrangement

and no, modest overclocking has no real effect on lifespan or temperature as long as the heatsink is up to the job

(on a side note, blimey didn't realise 980ti stocks were running so low... almost makes you think there might be some new cards coming soon or something)
