What PSU do all you people with a 980ti use with it? I am planning on using an older PSU I have from my old system HX850 v2 so looking to compare really what is actually needed. I am replacing the older system with a 650watt corsair and I have even read that is enough to run a 980ti. What is the truth guys and how much is actually needed?

Ive just found this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=28243177 from googling and someone asked a similar question I am about to ask. I was gonna use the RM650 on my old machine, but what if I tried to use it on the 980ti, 5960x machine... Would it be ok? its a gold rate RM 650 corsair, which I know isn't great but it would have been plenty for my older system.

Cheers lads, will use the 650w on the new system then if its enough, I thought that wouldn't be able to cut it with the setup I am building. Just shows some people I spoke to gave bad advice on that.
Saves me a job of swapping out the psu from other system. :) Just waiting for all the gear to arrive.

I just used a voltage calculator and put down a cpu overclock on the 5960x of 4.5ghz at a guess and added everything else the system would need and the PSU minimum it came back with was 704 watt. It said 580w but recommended minimum 704 so will go with my HX850 for my build. What do you guys think of that? Or is the calculation miles off?
