99 newshosting connections...

And I still won't hit anything near 2MB like I'm supposed to! Can VM 20mb newshosting users confirm that I have a crap connex or is NH being slow? Also shocked seeing as I'm only supposed to be allowed 8 connections

Wrong. 10 threads wouldn't max out my 1MB BB, 14 did.

Do you know the new NewsHosting Euro server?? I normally use 4 connections on the American server and 4 on the NEW Euro server at the same time and it works great

Yes, It levels out at around 16 connections, I done 99 for fun. What is the euro address? All I have is "unlimited.newshosting.com"

Haha, typical OcUK misleading quotes! I replied to his comment that adding more threads to 10 wouldn't help. Well I told him he was wrong as adding more threads helped my connection. With regards to the 99 connections, yes I know it won't help but I thought the grossly exaggerated figure would have been obvious enough to be a joke.

Not sure on this, NH has always been very good for me but like you said maybe they can't supply full bandwidth due to bad routing or whatever. I'll try Giganews if you're saying it maxes out your 20mb

[edit] Having said that $24.99/month compared to NH's $14.99/month, I think I can live with a slightly reduced speed

I'd still be interested in other 20mb Newshosting users comments!
