Hi all,

Since I’ve had my 9900Kf it’s a great CPU but does it run hot! Especially vs my delidded 8700k. Delidding this isn’t an option due to the higher risk and lower results.

I had my 8700k at 5.0ghz and this cpu at the same clock speed gets too hot during realbench - mid 80s low 90s this was at 1.370 voltage - I’ve since found that 1.165 voltage (CPUz) reports 1.184v for a all core 4.8ghz and temps haven’t topped 68 degrees - is this a good voltage? Happy to take the very small hit on single core performance for the extra 2 cores 4 threads

my 10700k which is really a low binned 9900k is doing 4.7 stock at 1.15v. it can do 4.8 at 1.175, 4.9 at 1.22v and 5ghz at 1.25. i would say 1.175-1.2v is a good spot for the 9900kf at 4.8ghz. 1.165 was a bit low as you found out.

1.232 voltage seems to be fully stable with 1 hour realbench, prime 95 30 minutes and cinebench stable. As a stop gap till 14th gen 8 cores 16 threads 4.8 GHz will do fine whilst keeping temps and noise down :)

Seems to be average voltage at that clock speed. so no golden chip or anything. More than enough for a good while. but the 14th gen would blow that 9900kf out the water. hell even a 12400 is on par with a 9900k at stock.
