9900K and 1080Ti OC

Hi All,

I have just finished a custom loop, leak tested and now running some tests!

My 9900k is at 5GHz stable 1.315V and hits around 83, peaking at 90oC during extreme stressing Prime, IBT and RealBench (AVX)

My GPU 1080Ti FTW3 is stable at 2025MHz boost core and 6003Mhz (12,000MHz effective) never seen temps above 47oC on any test here!

Gaming wise on Metro Exodus my 8700k sits around 59oC.

Do these temps all look OK?

Yeah those temps are fine. CPU I would say is a bit warm, but Metro is CPU intensive I gather more so with an overclock, but biggest way to improve would be delid, but temps themselves are fine.

The 9900K is known to be a chip that runs hot. Your temps look in line with those of the reputable youtubers and reviewers.

If you do intend to delid, be mindful that the 9900K is a soldered CPU, so it's a lot more effort to delid vs a CPU that uses regular TIM:

Doubt your CPU temps are getting as high as that in game. Stress tests are a different beast. Use MSI AB to look at CPU temps in game, or just run Core Temp or Real Temp in the background while you game and have a look at max temps upon exit
