Got an upgrade itch but not sure if it's really worth doing, pc is used mainly for gaming, would there be a noticeable difference going from 9900k to 11900k? i game at 3440x1440. Anyone else made this jump? Thanks.

I may consider amd as long as it would perform better than intel in gaming, I think I should do a little more research, so in your opinion guys what is the best cpu for gaming? or should I stick with the 9900k for a while longer?

Thanks guys, I'll check out the video later Radox-0, yes I'll do a little home work and have a good think, I'll also try a mild overclock on my 9900k as it's been at stock since purchase, I'm having no performance issues at all but you know how it is with us lot, we just get that upgrade itch and it just sometimes needs a good scratch lol.

Your not wrong! moved to a 8700k to 9900k for sake of it when with my RTX 3090 on 4k OLED made no difference to performance as I am in most instances GPU limited! As you say itch is real. At this point, with Intel's current platform being End of Line and supposedly AM4, would wait to see what happens next gen on both sides IMO.
Yup, 8700k to 9900k just because I could, good to see resizable bar support on z370/z390 boards but new bios still in beta, well at least it is on my asus hero x, i'll wait till it comes out of beta before updating assuming I stick with the 9900k which is very likely now after watching comparison vids. :-)
