I have "with some help from this forum" overclocked my c2d e6600 i was always using 9X multi and now i have gone 8X multi which seems to have given me a higher clock "well maybe".

Is there any wrong or right to this??
What i will say though when i was on 9X multi 0n 3dmark 06 i got 15578 and now on 8X multi i got 16560 thats a big increase "well i think so"

Also on my memory it is 5,5,5 15 can i do something with that say 4,4,4 14

Thanks to all members that have helped me so far;)

Its a big increase as you've increased your fsb with the 8x multi over the 9x multi.

Higher FSB means your PC will process things quicker through the motherboard.

Lower multi and higher fsb will perform better, but more stress on the mobo to do it
