Hello all, this is what I basically built what I think would be a really good setup for around 1500£

But i'd like some help, first of all I picked that motherboard because it comes with a sound card, is the sound card any good as i'd like some higher quality sound for a change, since i'm used to a Realtek AC97 atm :p, also, I didnt pick out a PSU as i'm not sure how much power it would need, but i'd preferably like a Corsair PSU, as they always seem to be reliable, and also, if you guys think any of that is wasteful, then let me know and feel free to build another, since the budget that i've set myself is no more than £1,500, but of course the cheaper the better, but i'd like really nice performance as I am a very heavy gamer, so i'd like it to be able to play games nice and comfortably, Many Thanks to whoever can help :D

Edit: I know I havent added the DVD Drives etc yet, and I already have a Mouse, Keyboard and Monitor etc

Why the Rampage? P6T is cheaper and about the same really.

Shove a third party CPU cooler in their aswell (the Noctua 1366).

Something like the Corsair TX 750W would be fine .

Like I said it comes with a Sound Card too so i'd imagine the price isnt so bad if it's a good quality sound card, as i'd be spending 50/100£ on that then anyway, with this I wont need too, if the quality is good, and yeh i'll buy a CPU Cooler too, but they're the only suggestions? the gfx card isnt over priced or? Many Thanks for the help though :D

Currently it's just a 17", but I know in the future i'll be upgrading it, so it's just a bit of future proofing, but if you dont think it's worth doing that now, then feel free to tell me if it's worth changing it, and hmmm, the problem with the Motherboard is it just has so many amazing features that even at the silly price it's so hard to ignore ;( haha :p

what gfx card do u currently have? unless you really have a 5+ year old gfx card, i really wouldn't bother upgrading it on 17" screen. A gtx 285 is complete overkill for that res, you will only see a benfit for 24"+ monitor. an ati 4850 would be more than enough to play anything maxed on a 17" screen, even a 2 year old 88gt could do that

i would recommend you get a 22" screen and an ati4850 for less than a gtx 285.
Samsung T220 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Rose Red (LS22TWHSUV)
HIS ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail (H485F512P)

you could also consider a gigabyte extreme x58, get a gtx260maxcore and swing a 24" monitor

PS forgeot to add a noctua aftermarket cpu cooler (another £50) but you could get rid of the 150gb raptor and still be within budget. I think the benefits of larger screen outweigh the advantages of a raptor

I quite like those specs ty ;D, and I cant change my monitor right about now because I really cant play on a widescreen monitor, and it's kinda important I can aim in my games, as it would drive me nuts if I missed silly shots cuz of the monitor haha, I dont wanna end up blaming my monitor for that, as i've tried to play on widescreen before and it's quite hard to adjust, and yeh I have an AGP setup, so I really do need a new everything, but maybe for now the 4850 would be wise, but both of those specs are pretty nice thank you :D, could probably knock the monitor off for now and make it even cheaper haha :p
