I've currently got the Sapphire HD7850 , and have just noticed that they have a Gigabyte 7850 over on the website in the B grade stock for £130 would it be worth buying to run in crossfire ? I know they are not the same model but look a bit similar being all black so that isn't a problem .
Would I see enough of an increase ? or not enough to justify the money ? For that price you can't really go wrong . I've just starting saving for a HIS 7970 iceq , should I just stick with that plan , or double up . I've just watched a couple of vids and the frame rate is about 75 - 80% higher in crossfire . But I always read posts with horror stories of crossfire with it being a pain in the arse . What would you do...

I don't think you get many 'horror stories' these days, drivers for both crossfire and sli have come a long way in a short time.
I had 5850's in crossfire quite a while ago and never had any bad experience with them, maybe have to wait a bit longer for drivers to catch up. I think CAP releases are now incoporated in the Beta drivers and there has been loads just lately!
Single cards are usually regarded as the better option but there is something cool about having 2 cards.

2x more AWESOME!! :D
