A 3dmark result help please.

Just run 2 tests on 3dmark06 and had the result of 12982.

My system is the Evga 680 board, 2gb Oz menory(Platium edition) 1 X 74gb Raptor, a Extreme Edition X6800 and 2 x FG 8800's in Sli.

All settings are scock,no O/Cing any where.

My m8 says its a low result.
 
They are the GTX models, did not seem to slow any where apart from the cpu test where it did not go over 1fps
 
Right... first make sure ** running the latest nvidia driver version which is 97.44 then look at ** control panel's settings, turn off aa and af etc
 
I'd consider taking one of the cards out and running just a single 8800 and checking the score with 1. If it's what you expect (9500 ish? roughly with 1x 8800 GTX) then try the other one as a single card, if they both perform well then it could be the SLi messing up.
 
Every thing is at stock settings.

On the BFG cards there are like to cut outs where sli link can go, mine is on right side one. not on one nearest to case rear. I guess there are 2 so you can fit in iether position.. lol well i hope so.

Sli is selected in set up.

Just done a run on 3dmark06 with the mark06 profile selected and i got 13080

Stock? Impossible to get 12k with stock GTS.

To the OP. With ** set up running at stock, u will be looking forward to 10.5k. As suggested, try running each card on their own and test. If both card gives around the same score, then both card is working fine.
 
No,not tried any games yet.

When i removed the bottom card of the two, unplugged the power leads from the enermax 1000 and also disabled sli before hand.
When rebooted the psu alarm kept going off and would not spin up.

got both cards back in now,and am trying a coarse tune in nvidia Control Panel.
 
Right have got round to running the cards on there own,results as follow
I will call cards top and bottom to make it simple.

Top card scored 3dmark06 10604,3dmark05 16573

Bottom Card scored 3dmark06 10627,3dmark05 16657

Now have set up in sli and am getting 3dmark06 12047,3dmark05 17645.

Well i was kind of expecting an increase of 50% using sli,so am still very disappointed.

Any views appriciated
