I have got a new OCZ agility 120gb SSD..

I have it plugged into a SATA III port along with my dvd-rw and my SATA HDD is plugged into a SATA II port.

I have just bought a new copy of windows 7 after trying many different downloaded versions to no succes..

Bios is set to boot from DVD.. SATA mode is set to ACHI and install seems succesfull..

After windows loads in 640x480 i install my ATI 6xxx catalyst drivers to restore the resolution to a useable one..

I restart my pc after installation and am greeted with a black screen and a mouse cursor.

I type in my password and press enter (assuming its not showing the login screen)

i get into windows with no taskbar and no functionality..

im almost at the end of my tether with this..

does anyone have any ideas where to proceed? im thinking of unplugging my GFX card and using the onboard GPU to setup windows.. could this be the problem? my graphics card works fine on my HDD when i switch back to IDE mode and boot off the HDD..

Please if anyone has any ideas.. im all ears!!

ok so after removing my graphics card and plugging into the mobo instead windows loads prefectly.. its deffinatley a problem with the graphics drivers.. i think ill try update windows completley install flash/java/.net framework etc etc etc and only after all that plug my gpu back in...

hopefully that will work!

but if anyone can suggest something else it would be appriciated!

Are you installing to the SSD whilest the HDD is still connected? if so try it with out the HDD connected my Sammy showed some strange problems when i left my HDD connected with a previous install of windows on it.

windows seems to be running fine, im running through ALL windows updates now to try and get everything as up to date as possible, only when ive finished all the updates am i going to attempt to install the graphics card. hopefully it will work :(

ok after removing my GPU completley and uninstalling the catalyst software.. plugging my dvi cable into mobo instead of gpu and then running EVERY windows update available and then after EVERYTHING plugging my gpu in and then installing drivers.. my pc works.. Its taken a while but i finally have my OS installed on an SSD =.=

FUN!

thank you =)

WEI to show the SSD :D it boots so freaking fast! :@
