hi guys. what do you think about this setup? i will add another HD5770 in few months

I think the question that will be asked is what are you going to use the setup for.

If its purely gaming then i think the possible alternative would be a cheaper amd setup to allow for spare cash to spend on a more powerfull gfx card.

I may be wrong though so wait for them that know more :)

I agree with those sentiments. an AMD machine is more than enough for pure gaming, and (potentially) much cheaper.

a 955 (if you can get hold of one) runs at stock 3.2Ghz, and is about £30 cheaper than an i5. You can get a very decent AMD board for the same price as that one.

I will mention though, if you go down this route, i've had trouble with stability when using OCZ RAM with a Gigabyte Motherboard... Might just be AMD gigabyte though.

Also, you would probably benefit from a case with better airflow, and an uprated CPU heatsink... The stock one is terrible, and you'll never be able to overclock properly with it.

Get a freezer pro rev.2. Excellent cooler, and less than £20! Or if you want the best, get a TRUE or Megahalems.

i want to use this machine for gaming only, but i dont have enough money for HD5850 which i want. so i thought i can buy HD5770 now and in next month i can buy another one to crossfire and it will be about the same or little faster than HD5850.
about case, i think that antec 300 will be good for now, but i am still looking for something better, maybe later i will change for Lian Li PC-A71FB, and until then i will have only stock cooling and when i will have more money i will go to water cooling.

I'd save a bit on the PSU and get a better case, the Antec 300 is a bit cramped IMO.

You won't need anywhere near 700W to run two 5770's in that rig.

he wouldnt save much if he dropped to a 600-50watt thought only 5-10quid may aswell just stick with it

Not a chance, take a look at paradigm's rig (Q6600, 6x 320GB HDD's, 2x DVD-RW's, 2x 5770's AND a 9800GT, as well as a miriad of fans and other accessories), which runs off an Antec HE 550W.

it would be really close with a pair of 5770's peronally i wouldnt feel comfortable with less than a 600watt psu

Well, given that two 5770's use less power than the 4870X2, and that uses 516W under full load (apparently), then it would be well under 500W.
