i told a clan member to check his stats, then promptly told him i had reported him for hacking and that i didnt think the BFROE would actually reset his account...

BattleField 2 - Master issues

There is currently an issue with the BattleField 2 master which will prevent ANY ranked server from being started.
If your servers running, don't restart it or it will fail.
If your server is already down then you can create yourself an "UNranked" profile in ClanForge using the "New" button under ClanForge -> Profiles. Then switch your server to this profile via Servers -> Edit.

We have contacted EA about this issue and are wait for a resolution

Yeah I noticed this

I was 26 for 4 as well

Edit: Checked on BF2S I still got the points and stats, ranked 906th out of 288,239 for accuracy

actually it could be legit for some reason my key doesnt work, the one that came with bf2 deluxe edition.

dont get me wrong it installs alright and plays single player but it wont register with ea

meens that some ******* has registered a key found with a keygen.

as above contact EA and explain to them and they should be able to sort it out, unless of course you bought it second hand, where you would need to contact previous buyer for account login.

If it is for legitimate reasons then he should return the game to where he got it and get a new copy.

Otherwises he should go to a shop and buy the game like everyone else.

Any news on the patch?

I did wonder.

I got my 500 points for promotion to Lance Corporal last night so I went to check BF2HQ and found that it was all 0s. BF2stats is still showing the right info though. Phew!

No news on the patch unfortunetly and gagging for it like everyone else.

Don't forget to claim your BF2 name to use in 2142.

I wouldn't be gagging for it, you will be gagging for 1.3 back after a few days of 1.4. A couple of clanmates have played the 1.4 Beta and hate it, if you are prone, and stand up, it takes a full second of not being able to do anything before you can shoot, which needless to say is very very frustrating. Infantry combat has been ruined in this patch apparently, so I'll be armour whoring it from now thank you very much.

That prone/stand/pause/seems dodgey.
I will be gutted if Infantry is spoiled as it's all i am interested in playing these days. Armour is great for gathering points for promo but trooping is the most fun and definetly the most saticfying.

IF you fire up your EA downloader your EA name is in the top right corner. Then follow the lost password option if you have to

If you have the original game DVD & Key code then there is a way of not using a disk.
You will need a piece of soft ware like Clone Virtual Drive, or Alcolhol 120%.
So will create a virtual drive of your Game DVD disk which XP will assign a new drive letter to.
The virtual drive copies an image of your disk to the virtual drive. So when you fire up the game the vitual drive gives the game start up programme all info & codes it requires to play.
You can not copy some one else game as eash keycode has to be logged with EA online.

The virtual drive is a good way of protecting your disks from potential damage from puttinng disk in & out of the optical drive. It can be saftly stored in the game box in the cupboard.
