well i best down load then.
Has it resolved any of the issues mentioned earlier in this thread ?

Where is the best / quickest location to down load it please ?
 
Just had a quick go and got 3 of the medals needed, I can see the knife one being very hard though... mine appears to made of rubber :/

There are loads, and now that 1.4 it out im sure there will be even more because knowone can ruin it be gettin in a tank!

one big tip for knifing btw, if you prone at there feet as you run at them and then stab it works a lot better :) (i.e stab there legs) It sounds stupid but it works :D :D
 
I'd be VERY careful when going on those servers though.

EA are clamping down on illegal servers, a lot of people found using them or have them in their server history will have their stats reset.

I wouldn't risk it.

If I were you I'd try it on one of the night maps on SF, sneak up behind everyone and knife them. :D
 
I have to say was playing on a infantry only citymaps server and my god what a pleasure too, no vehicles to spoil it and best of all no damned artillery.

Yeah iv been waiting for the Infantry only now for so long :) been playing sooo much more bf2 lately because of 1.4 :D

Yeah i know there is a risk of getting stats reset (prolly about the same odds of winning the lotto or something) but all you have to do is play 1 round and get the knife badge, then leave!

Does the server restrict weapons to just knfe or pistol, or is it the server rules of engagement ?
 
Whoop... just got my knife badge, tried for ages and kept getting slaughtered :( , so thought right the i'll try being sneaky and only use knife no other weapons... Bingo 13 kills in a round :eek:
So set for my next promotion now :D
 
YAY! Got my knife badge too on a 24/7 Pistol + Knife (and apparently grenade) server. The first 6 kills were easy, the last one took a few minutes. Then the round was wrapping up, the other team had 8 ticks left and i got the dreaded "There is a problem with your connection" message and i almost vomited blood out my nose... luckily it cleared up. :D
 
I didn't find it too hard.

First time round I got it the easy way by being Commander and sitting on the TOW. The second time (When I had the rank bug) I got it on Ghost Town taking the shopper down as it was taking off. :p
 
If BF2 Crashes

I would just like to post something. This has been posted on another thread but someone may do that "crazy" thing and actually use this search function and find this ;)

anyhow,

I have had Bf2 crashing everynow and then, and it does my head in. Think I have sorted it out.

It seems (touch wood) to be because of my cpu overclock. Which is odd as everything else runs fine, prime, mem test, etc.

But have knocked my cpu from 2.7 down to 2.4 and it is 100% better now during BF2, I shall sowly raise it up in small increments to be able to see where the problem arises O/C wise.

So if your game is crashing / sound looping, there is a good chance that it is because of your OC

I have read on other forums that BF2 does not like cpu's to be overclocked. No idea of the truth in that, But mine certainly seems better, perhaps that may help someone.
