A battlefield2 thread

Logged in for the first time in over 2 years. Managed to retrieve my account and i've lost my rankings. Im back to square 1. Anyone else had this?

BTW. Loving it :D Why oh why did i ever stop playing this :confused:

Oh god, dont tell me that. I to ohave not played in 2 years. perhaps my ranks have gone too.
 
just repurchased the complete collection via steam, again over 2 years since I played it, got a few mates who usually play cod mw/cs and we have been having a blast, we are totally crap but the variation and squad play is 2nd to none

graphics arent the best but... it isnt the be all and end all and jets/heli's + the sound when a jet flies overhead is as immense as always. some serious pilots in the game tho sort of makes it a bit annoying at times but then we get tactical and try and take them out, so rewarding when it pays off!
 
Can a mod please rename the thread title, searching for Battlefield or Battlefield 2 in title search does not bring it up, you have to search for battlefield2 which is not obvious.
 
Are BF2 keys tied to your E.A account?

I have purchased this game 3 times at one point or another so thinking if I can give the redundant keys to friends?
 
really am thinking of re getting this again used to run clan matches on this,i see steam has it for 14.99 for all the games

Battlefield 2 (v1.50)
Battlefield 2: Special Forces
Battlefield 2: Euro Forces
Battlefield 2: Armored Fury

is there still a large fan base out there online or is it dead?

Im trying to retrieve my old account must say though i have been playing on another name i used and its suprisingly good to play...
Doesnt look no were near as good as i remember it though...

Still loads of players. With the new patch you get all of those free. You can get BF2 for less than £10 these days.
 
thats good to hear used to love this game to bits,anyone got servers or recommend me a few.i be getting it off steam as cant get it anywhere around near me and its not much more in price if i get it from puple shop lol.
whats new i anit played it in two years or so.

Just re-purchased this on Steam myself.

Makes reinstalling much easier :)

o well crap happens:o i got it now so anyone wanna add me,need some fellow bf2 players,im a good player looking for some fun games on some decent servers,it was only a fiver more than game was selling so not to bothered.

Lots still play, there isnt any other 64 player arcade battle with vehicles afaik but they will release bf1943 soon I think

Im pretty sure it made them tons of money because of stuff like that above, it becomes a loyalty brand hence ea intends to develop/exploit the hell out of it :D
