A battlefield2 thread

hmm, will they unlock it after 12am? I don't have to go to work till 1 tomorrow so If they unlock it after 12am I'll buy it. Problem is, I will probably playing it all morning and then be too tired to go to work.

Hmm... Can't find SF anywhere on that site. I links me to CDwow, is that right? If so, I can't find it under the games section.

Edit: Never mind, found it through search.

Yeah, if you just do a search for "Battlefield" then you'll find it.

Need some advice people.

I have an unlock comming very soon (Sargent), only about 150 away. Should I chose an unlock before I install the SF? I wonder if we will get an free unlock when we install SF like we did when one of the patches came out.

I'm a Sergeant Major, and from what I understand after reading information for those who've already got BF2:SF I only have to kill a few people and I'll get all the unlocks.

not heard that myself, and have mixed views on it... i have worked hard to unlock my three guns!

There is an internet shop in Jersey (not the one your thinking of) :) that has it for £13.99 and I know of a £2 voucher so effectively its £11.99 with free delivery.

Cant post the link as they sell computer stuff too.

If anyone wants the details send me a pm or email :)

If im not getting special forces, what patch do I have to install?

good point! i think you install it anyway - and if you are getting SF install it after you have installed SF.... i think that is correct

A HEAD'S UP

Just so everyone knows, the 50K 64 slot server (got upgraded from 50 slots) will be hosting Battlefield 2 Special Forces maps only for the next week. The unranked 32 man server will remain for Battlefield 2 Vanilla.

Finally decided I want this as a early christmas present and before Ibuy I just wanted to know if I'll find I reall need a headset and wether I'll get used to controlling aircraft with my keyboard and mouse or is a joystick really needed because I seemed to crash as soon as I got in any craft.

dude don't touch the mouse when you fly! that was my **** up, just use the keyboard to fly!

Some people can handle it with a mouse and keyboard, but if you want the edge, get a joystick. I can always tell mouse and keyboard pilots from joystick pilots. They tend to go in straight lines - rocket bait. With the stick, you can wriggle about in the sky and get away from AA / Jet's rockets, plus, you don't run out of desk.

a gig is 1024mb at the point of that pic you had 23 meg to go

BF2 is probably the fussiest game ever, if you have any niggles on you system, it'll show with a nice CTD. But like I said, how can it be EAs fault if it works ok on 99.9% of everyone elses pc's?
