A big screen or fast?

Hi All,

I'm at pains as what to get re the next monitor. I currently have 2 24" HP screens and work and play on both. I use 13MBP for work and have a dedicated gaming rig (also being upgraded!) and play regularly BF3, C&C etc..

I did try out the 30" Dell monitor and although I had one years ago found it too high. I like the imac screen we have as family so feel 27" is the way to go but have noticed dells 29" screen which could be useful for work etc especially as the mbp only has one display output (T/B). And then my head is turned by the 144mhz screens by Asus....Any recommendations or ideas?

From my experiance going any bigger than 24" for a gaming monitor is overkill , To start with most people sit about 1 foot away from screen and if you go any bigger you will find your field of vision can't cope at such a close range , I play the likes of CSS , BF3 and find that on a 24" I am very good but as soon as I move over to my 46" Screen I am bad !
