Just a quick noob question I am hoping for some help with.

I want to upgrade my GPU to an X1950 Pro Ultimate at some point in the next few months, but I'm not sure if i'm going to need a new PSU as well.

My current supply is the PSU that comes with the Antec NSK4400 (380watt), but I'm not sure if thats going to be enough. I'm having a job tracking down recommendations for this card.

If i am likely to need a new one, I was thinking of either an Enermax Liberty 500 or a Corsair HX520. Any other recommendations, and will that be far more power than I need? Not planning to OC anything, in case that influences your advice.

Thanks in advance...

Welcome to the forums, it will depend slightly on what else you have in your system but assuming nothing else too demanding the PSU should be fine as Antec are a decent brand. If you want to go for a new PSU then either of the others are a good choice but probably slightly overkill. :)

Thanks.

I've got an athalon 64 3500+, ASUS M2N4 SLI, 1 gb Memory (unsure of the brand), X-Fi Xtreme Music, 1x 160gb harddrive, 1x Optical drive and a network card and thats about it.

I'll get hold of it and give it a try with the PSU i've already got and I can always upgrade later if it proves necessary, right?

Right :)

If it proves inadequate/etc, then recommend you go for the Corsair HX520
