Im going to buy the following bundle -

Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6600 2.40GHz Retail / Asus P5W DH Deluxe / 2GB G.Skill PC2-6400C4 DDR2 Dual Channel Kit - Bundle

and was going to get the BFG GEFORCE 8800 GTS
my plan was to buy one card now and add another one later once the funds were there. would i be correct in saying this cant be done as the board is crossfire ready and the card is SLI ready ?
This being the case how does the PowerColor ATI Radeon X1950 XT Extreme compare with the GEFORCE as the ATI is crossfire ready.

You are correct the mobo isn't an SLi compatible. So why don't you get the Sli Version...

Your best bet is 8800GTS 320mb as it offers the best value for money at the mo. ATI's new offerings, the HD2900XT is expensive and the driver needs a lot of tweaks to get the performance right.
