A bit of help please

Hi, my brother is looking to get a yamaha r6 and found one.

The problem is when he done a hpi check, the report stated it was exported.

He spoke to the owner and he said it was exported to germany and back to the UK.

Should be worry? he doesn't was to be scam.

Likelihood is that it is indeed imported from Germany.

What implications this would have on insurance and what not, I dunno.

If he's that worried then it really isn't hard to find a decent r6 and they're usually similarly priced.

May be a squaddie who's owned it at some point. I'll be buying a bike in the UK in June, exporting it to Germany in July, then reimporting it when ever I move back to the UK.

If it has all the documentation to prove all the above, I wouldn't worry, as it'll still be an official UK model.
